The members of the Regional Universities Network work in collaboration to pursue three key objectives:

  1. To provide policy advice to government, particularly with regard to tertiary education and regional development.
  2. To strengthen and promote the contributions of regional universities to regional and national development.
  3. To build institutional capacity and sustainability through the sharing of best practice in educational delivery, training, research and organisational management, particularly with reference to regional contexts.

Uni SunshineSince its establishment in 1996, the University of the Sunshine Coast has made a significant impact on the economic and cultural development of its region, serving a growing catchment from Brisbane’s northern suburbs through to Bundaberg. USC has around 9,000 students and continues to be one of Australia’s fastest growing universities. Demand for USC programs is strong, with plans to double enrolments in the next decade. The University is also in a period of rapid research development and growth.
